Step back in time at this friendly township museum showcasing the rich, colourful history of the Rockhampton district 1850 – 1950.

Throughout your visit at the Rockhampton Heritage Village you will see vintage vehicles, a hall of clocks, timber cutters camp, a blacksmith shop, homesteads and cottages, vintage machinery and a range of friendly farm animals.

Open 10am to 4pm daily (except public holidays). Last entry 3pm.

As of 17 December 2021, anyone entering the Heritage Village aged 16 years or over will need to register via the Check in Qld app and provide proof of vaccination or medical exemption. For the markets, a event-specific COVID management plan has been put in place to enable vaccinated and unvaccinated marketgoers to enter the markets precinct.

Tours of the Heritage Village

Experience the Heritage Village with a guided tour. Tours are available for schools (tailored to prep/early primary and late primary/secondary) and also for other groups (eg social groups, special interest groups etc). Contact the Village for details.

The Australian Shearing Shed
The Australian Shearing Shed is open for bookings for weddings, corporate functions, balls, formals, wakes and more. It offers a full commercial kitchen and bar area, ready for your preferred caterer, to create your own special event.
Seating capacity up to 300 at tables or 600 theatre style.
In the grounds of the Heritage Village there are a number of attractive venue options including the charming St Peter’s Church and Rosewood Cottage, a variety of shaded grassed areas and memorable photographic locations.

School Holiday Program 

Enjoy the outdoors during the school holidays at the Rockhampton Heritage Village! Heaps of fun activities including feeding the animals, vintage car, stage coach, and Rory the Roadtrain rides.

Running Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday both weeks of the holidays. 

Entry: $10 Per child (18MTHS +)
One adult per family free (additional adults $10).
Parental supervision, hats & enclosed shoes required.

Tickets at the gate, no bookings.
