Can I get a room on the ground floor?
Yes! All our motel rooms are locating on the ground floor. For those looking at accessibility there is a small step into the rooms and a small step in the shower.
Is your Reception Office open 24 hours?
Our Reception is closed at night from 5pm to 9am. We do have staff on call 24 hours to handle urgent matters. Check-in is available between 2pm and 5pm. Check-out is by 10am. Early and late check-ins and outs can easily be arranged. Please let us know when making your booking.
Where is close to the motel to eat?
Yes! Located on Yeppoon’s main street there is plenty to choose from. Just on our block there is Whisk Cafe, Domino’s, Indian Tonight, Thai Tahnee, Pacific Hotel Bistro, Who’s Cooking Takeaway and Megalomania Bar & Bistro.
What is there to do in Yeppoon?
The Yeppoon area has so much to offer! There is the Koorana Crocodile Farm, Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Capricorn Caves, Keppel Kracken water play area, local art galleries, national parks and 30 minute ferry ride to Great Keppel Island. Is there plates and cups in the motel rooms?
Yes! Each room at the Sail Inn has plates, bowls, cups, mugs, saucers, knives, spoons, forks, wine glasses and even a cork screw bottle opener.
Do the rooms have a microwave?
Yes! All rooms at the Sail Inn have microwaves, bar fridges, kettles, toasters, irons and ironing boards plus a hair dryers.
Is there space for large vehicles/trailers?
Yes, there is. Here at the Sail Inn Motel we have plenty of extra parking space available at the rear of the property with no height restrictions. The lot size can be seen on Google Maps. We have had removal trucks, trucks with boat trailers and caravans parked at the motel.
How far is the motel from the beach?
According to Google Maps it takes 7 minutes (500m) to walk from the motel to the surf club located on Yeppoon’s Main Beach. It is an easy walk with no hills, you simple turn left at the Sail Inn and walk straight to the beach. The Yeppoon Main Beach is the only patrolled beach in town.
Is the Sail Inn close to a supermarket?
Yes! We are only 170m away from the local IGA which is located on the same street and there is also the Keppel Bay Plaza, 300m away which has a Coles and Target Country.
Does the Sail Inn Motel have a laundry?
The Sail Inn does not have a guest laundry however Bubbles Laundromat is only around the corner and open 24 hours. We do offer complimentary laundry powder packets and have a clothesline for guests to use.
Is there a bus stop close to the Motel?
Yes, there is. We would recommend getting off or on at the Keppel Bay Plaza bus stop which is only 300m away from the Sail Inn. Depending on the bus route you need to take we are only 400m from the main bus stop depot on Hill St. To find bus times of the local bus company ‘Young’s Bus Service’ click the bus below.
Are you allowed to smoke at your motel?
Current regulations do not allow smoking in motel rooms or within 5 meters of any doors or windows. To cater for our guests who smoke we have 2 outside sitting areas with ashtrays at the rear of the property.
